A Story Beyond the Mind
FROM the mind TO awareness :
A JOURNEY THROUGH MIND-BODY, EMOTIONS AND inner transformation
THE ROOTS
MUSIC, CREATIVITY AND INNER JOURNEY
Dante (birth name: Giulio) was born in a small town in Southern Italy.
At the age of six, he began private piano studies, taking his first steps into the world of music.
As the years passed, Dante gradually integrated into society, attending public school while continuing his piano education
at the local conservatory.
Although surrounded by many friends and acquaintances, he constantly experienced a deep sense of obligation, oppression, and limitation, particularly within the musical environment.
WHEN THE MIND BECAME THE TEACHER
OCD AND THE DISCOVERY OF OBSERVATION
At the age of 13, Dante encountered one of the first major challenges of his life: Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
What began with compulsions and repetitive rituals gradually became an intense inner experience that profoundly changed the way he perceived his own mind.
After an initial period of searching for answers, Dante eventually encountered a different approach,
one that invited him to stop fighting what was happening within him and begin observing it differently.
He left the conservatory and dedicated himself fully to this inner journey.
Within approximately two months, the patterns that had dominated his daily life began to lose their power.
But what remained became even more important: the discovery of observation.
For the first time, Dante began to recognize a distinction between the mind and the awareness observing the mind.
This experience would later become one of the foundations of his exploration of the mind, body, emotions and inner transformation.
A NEW WORLD: ART, PHILOSOPHY, AND THE DISCOVERY OF LONDON
After completing his studies and serving one year in the Italian Navy, Dante moved to Rome, where he began performing at artistic events and exhibitions, playing his own original compositions.
Naturally, drawn to the exploration of the inner world, he became deeply interested in philosophy, mysticism and transformational alchemy, while continuing to explore the mind through observation and a non-dual perspective.
For him, observation and non-judgment became essential principles.
After a profound period of study, exploration and personal growth, Dante decided to leave Italy and move to England.
A new world opened before him.
There, he encountered new cultures, different backgrounds, and entirely new ways of thinking.
He realized that the world extended far beyond the reality he had known in his hometown.
Dante quickly learned English and pursued his musical career, beginning as a street performer and eventually touring Europe as a pianist and keyboard player in various musical projects.
"I felt good. I played, I created, but deep inside I knew I was hiding something."
WHEN THE BODY BECAME THE TEACHER
THE DISCOVERY OF MIND-BODY CONNECTION
In 2020, Dante began to feel that something in the world had fundamentally changed.
The COVID-19 pandemic brought isolation and disrupted the sense of human connection he had known.
Confined to his apartment, Dante struggled deeply with what was happening around him.
"I felt like a rat trapped in a cage… burned by society, by lies, by decisions that were not mine. I was lost."
What followed became one of the most intense periods of his life.
Anger, fear and a profound sense of disconnection began to take over,
while his body started expressing itself through persistent pain, tension and recurring physical symptoms.
Everything he thought he had understood about himself was suddenly being challenged.
One night, something became clear to him: he needed to return to his roots.
The following day, he decided to leave London and return to his hometown in Italy.
After returning home, Dante consulted numerous doctors, searching for an explanation for what he was experiencing.
He underwent extensive medical examinations and, over time,
received several different diagnoses related to his recurring pain and physical symptoms.
These included chronic prostatitis, IBS, pudendal neuralgia, pubalgia,
lower back conditions, fibromyalgia, tendinitis and other musculoskeletal conditions.
Following these diagnoses, Dante explored different conventional approaches,
including medication, physiotherapy and osteopathic care.
Yet despite the number of diagnoses, examinations and approaches he had gone through, his experience remained unchanged.
In fact, his symptoms continued to intensify.
This gradually led him to question something deeper:
what if understanding the body required looking beyond the labels he had been given?
Searching for a different perspective, Dante began exploring alternative and holistic approaches, including shamanic practices, acupuncture, energy work, Reiki, and herbal and nutritional approaches.
Once again, nothing seemed to work.
Eventually, he began to question the search itself.
What if the answer was not something else to find outside of himself?
For the first time, Dante decided to stop searching.
He left everything behind and moved alone to the countryside.
RECONNECTION, ART AND INNER TRANSFORMATION
Dante moved into an isolated villa near the sea, where he lived alone for an entire year.
There, a different kind of journey began.
Away from the noise of the outside world,
Dante began coming into contact with his deepest fears, hidden anger, and emotions he had learned to suppress over the years.
Music, art and creativity became essential parts of this process of reconnection and inner transformation.
"Art does not speak through words. It does not judge.
It does not divide our experience into fear, anger, pain or pleasure. It simply gives it space.
Art goes beyond the mind. It can take us into places where explanation is no longer necessary.
Art and music are not simply hobbies. They are expression. They are movement. They are part of us.
Art does not need to become anything.
Art simply is."
Throughout this journey, music brought Dante into a level of awareness and connection that words alone could never reach.
This experience became an important part of the way he later integrated music, creativity and direct experience into his work as a coach.
For Dante, giving space to art means giving space to presence, expression and to parts of ourselves that cannot always be understood through the mind.
His artist name, DANTE, represents this journey: the opening of the heart through music.
NEUROPLASTICITY, AND THE INTEGRATION OF SCIENCE AND SPIRITUALITY
Dante moved into an isolated villa near the sea, where he lived alone for an entire year.
Away from the noise of the outside world, a different kind of journey began.
Dante started coming into contact with his deepest fears, hidden anger, and emotions he had learned to suppress over the years.
But after years of searching, trying to understand, change, and overcome what he was experiencing,
he gradually discovered something completely different:
the power of doing nothing.
Instead of fighting his emotions, changing them, or trying to understand where they came from, he began creating space for them.
No technique. No solution. Nothing to fix.
Just staying with what was already there.
Fear could be felt. Anger could be felt. Sadness could be felt.
Without needing to become something else.
This experience of non-doing gradually became an essential part of his inner transformation and would later deeply influence his approach to the mind, body and emotions.
It was within this space that music, art and creativity took on a completely different meaning.
Music was no longer simply something to perform or create.
It became a way of experiencing what could not always be explained through the mind.
Sound, silence, emotion and presence began to merge.
Throughout this journey, Dante discovered that sometimes transformation does not begin by adding another technique,
another answer, or another thing to do.
Sometimes, it begins by creating enough space to experience what is already here.
This understanding of non-doing, together with the power of music and art,
would later become an essential part of his work and his approach to transformational coaching.
His artist name, DANTE, represents this journey: the opening of the heart through music.
FROM PERSONAL JOURNEY TO TRANSFORMATIONAL COACHING
Through the exploration of neuroplasticity, mind-body awareness and his own inner patterns, Dante began to understand how deeply our reactions, beliefs and perceptions can shape the way we experience ourselves and our reality.
One realization became particularly important:
"What was keeping me trapped was not the pain itself, but the story around it and the way I was re-acting to it."
The more he stopped trying to fight his experience and began observing the mechanisms behind his reactions, the more his relationship with his mind, body and emotions began to change.
This became the bridge between his personal journey and what would later become his work as a coach.
Not a method for becoming someone else.
Not another attempt to eliminate what we do not want to feel.
But an exploration of what happens when we begin to observe our inner mechanisms, create gratitude and space for our experience, and relate differently to what is already here.
TODAY
Today, Dante is fully dedicated to OltreMente, his project exploring what exists beyond the habitual patterns of the mind.
Through one-to-one Transformational Mind-Body Coaching, he works with individuals who want to understand the mechanisms that keep them stuck in recurring thoughts, emotions, reactions and patterns.
His approach brings together transformational alchemy, mind-body awareness,
neuroplasticity, spirituality, non-duality and direct experience.
Rather than trying to create a new version of ourselves, the work is an invitation to observe, experience and integrate what is already here, allowing gratitude and transformation to emerge from a different relationship with the mind, body and emotions.
Alongside his coaching work, Dante brings the same exploration into his piano concerts, combining music, storytelling and awareness to create immersive experiences where sound becomes another way of moving beyond the mind.
Who is Dante now?
- Transformational Neuroplastic Mind-Body Coach · Pianist, Composer Storyteller -
Dante Notar is a Transformational Mind-Body Coach whose work explores the relationship between mind, body, emotions and awareness.
His approach has been shaped by years of personal exploration, professional training and direct experience with the mechanisms that influence the way we think, feel and react.
In Italy, he trained in Strategic Coaching at the Nardone Group Academy.
Internationally, he achieved the Coach Practitioner certification at the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology,
as well as a diploma in Neuroplasticity awarded by Dr. Karen E. Wells.
These different paths gradually became part of a broader exploration that today brings together transformational alchemy, mind-body awareness, neuroplasticity, spirituality, non-duality, mindfulness and direct experience.
At the heart of Dante's work is a simple principle:
Transformation does not necessarily begin by changing what we think or feel,
but by changing the way we relate to what is already happening within us.
Through his coaching, Dante guides individuals in observing the mechanisms that keep them stuck in recurring thoughts, emotions, reactions and patterns, creating space for a different relationship with the mind, body and inner experience.
His approach to manifestation follows the same principle. Rather than trying to become a “new self” in order to create a different reality,
he invites people to fully meet who and where they are now.
Gratitude becomes part of this process, not as a technique to attract something, but as a way of opening to the present moment, including the parts of ourselves we may still want to change.
You don't have to chase the person you want to become. You create space for that person to emerge.
Alongside his work as a coach, Dante is a pianist, composer and storyteller.
Through his music and experiential concerts, he brings together sound, storytelling, emotions and awareness, creating immersive journeys that invite the audience beyond intellectual understanding and into direct experience.
His work today is the expression of a journey that began with his own experiences of OCD and persistent physical symptoms and gradually expanded into a deeper exploration of the mind-body connection, awareness and inner transformation.
What began as a personal search eventually became OltreMente: an exploration of what becomes possible when we stop fighting our inner experience and begin to observe, feel and integrate it.
